Marcia M. Meis, Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, announced that the Third Judicial Circuit judges voted to select Emily J. Johnson and Justin S. Zimmerman as associate judges of the Third Judicial Circuit.
Ms. Johnson received her undergraduate degree in 2002 from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and her Juris Doctor in 2005 from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois. Ms. Johnson is currently affiliated with the Madison County State’s Attorney’s Office in Edwardsville, Illinois. Mr. Zimmerman received his undergraduate degree in 2009 from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri and his Juris Doctor in 2012 from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois. Mr. Zimmerman is currently affiliated with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith in Edwardsville, Illinois.
