BELLEVILLE – Customers are suing Red Lobster after they allegedly tripped on a curb in the path of a handicapped parking spot at the Fairview Heights restaurant.
Plaintiffs Gerold and Alicica Gregory filed a lawsuit in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Red Lobster Management, LLC, citing negligence and carelessness.
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiffs were patrons at a Red Lobster restaurant in Fairview Heights on April 20. The lawsuit states that while leaving the restaurant, Alicica Gregory tripped and fell on a curb that was in ill-repair and in the path of the handicapped parking spot. Gerold Gregory was allegedly holding his wife's arm at the time. While attempting to prevent her fall, he fell as well, the suit states.
The lawsuit states that the defendant negligently failed to properly maintain the premises to protect the safety of its customers.
The plaintiffs claim they sustained injuries, which have caused them pain, suffering and disability and will impact their ability to enjoy normal life.
The plaintiffs are seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. They are represented in this case by attorney Jarrod P. Beasley of Kuehn, Beasley & Young, P.C. in Belleville.
