EDWARDSVILLE – A roofer has filed a negligence lawsuit after he allegedly fell off the roof at a job site.

Plaintiff Emilson Trinidad filed the lawsuit in the Madison County Circuit Court against Metro East Roofing, Inc, citing negligence.

According to the lawsuit, Trinidad was contracted to perform roofing work at a construction site owned by the defendant. Trinidad claims that on Oct 19, 2020, he was carrying out his job duties when he suddenly fell off the roof, suffering injuries.

Trinidad claims Metro East Roofing negligently failed to provide him with proper fall protection equipment or other measures that would have prevented him from falling.

Trinidad claims he sustained severe and permanent injuries, which have caused him to experience pain, suffering, disability, and loss of income. He also states that he has incurred medical expenses and will continue to require the services of medical staff to recover.

The plaintiff is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. He is represented in this case by attorney Robert J. Adelman of Levin, Riback & Adelman, P.C. in Chicago.
