EDWARDSVILLE - A Bethalto woman is suing Dollar Tree after she allegedly fell over debris in the aisle at a store in Wood River.

Imodean Null filed the complaint in the Madison County Circuit Court against Dollar Tree.

According to the complaint, Null claims she was at the Wood River Dollar Tree on Aug. 15, 2020, when she allegedly fell "with great force." She alleges the store failed to keep the aisle free of debris.

Null claims the defendant was "under a duty to exercise reasonable care in the maintenance and operation of the premises, including the entrances, exits, aisles and other appurtenances on the premises, so that those on the premises would not be likely to sustain injuries, " Null states.

As a result, Null alleges she sustained injuries, will endure future pain and suffering, suffered emotional distress, incurred medical bills and lost wages.

The plaintiff seeks $50,000 in damages, plus legal costs. She is represented by attorney Joshua Evans of Joshua Evans Attorney At Law PC in Jerseyville.
