BELLEVILLE — A driver is suing another motorist after she allegedly suffered injuries in a rear-end collision in Belleville.

Kaitlin Done filed a complaint in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Michael Noe, alleging negligence.

According to Done's complaint, she was driving her Kia SUV on Green Mount Road near the intersection of Pathways Crossing in Belleville on Oct. 7, 2020. She claims Noe, who was driving a Dodge truck, rear-ended her Kia at a high rate of speed while she was stopped in traffic.

Done alleges Noe was negligent for failing to operate his truck in a safe manner, failing to keep a proper lookout and failing to keep his truck under control to avoid a crash. She also alleges Noe was speeding and did not slow down, stop or swerve in order to avoid colliding with her SUV.

Done claims that as a result of the collision, she was severely injured, disabled and disfigured and incurred large costs for medical treatment.

Done seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000 and all other just relief. She is represented by John Hipskind of Hipskind & McAninch LLC in Belleville.
