BELLEVILLE - A motorist is suing Belleville Township School after one of its bus drivers allegedly collided with his vehicle.

Caleb George filed the lawsuit in the St. Clair. County Circuit Court against Belleville Township School, citing negligence and carelessness by employee Rhonda Jenkins.

According to the lawsuit, George was driving on Route 161 on May 25, 2021, when his vehicle was struck by a bus driven by Jenkins. George alleges Jenkins failed to yield to a light at an intersection, causing her to run into his vehicle.

George claims he suffered permanent injuries specifically to his head, neck and back, which damaged his nervous system.

He claims that as a result of his injuries, he has suffered pain and disability. He alleges his injuries will impact his ability to earn income and enjoy regular activities in the future.

The plaintiff also claims he has incurred medical expenses and will continue to require the services of medical staff to recover.

George is seeking damages in excess of $50,000, plus court costs and any other relief the court deems proper. He is represented in this case by attorney Pamela Antoniou Brennan of The Law Offices of Pam Brennan in Belleville.
