Rising global temperatures, an aging workforce with an increasing prevalence of underlying health conditions, and tight labor markets have brought occupational heat illness to the forefront for 2022.  Adam R. Young, Patrick D. Joyce, Ilana R.Morady, and Mark A. Lies, II will provide employers with an update on heat illness and how to protect themselves from aggressive government enforcement.  Federal OSHA has announced a plan to prioritize heat illness enforcement with a new National Emphasis Program and onerous draft regulations.  Several OSHA state plans, especially on the West Coast, have gotten into the mix, with regulations and unique compliance challenges.

Adam, Patrick, Ilana, and Mark will illuminate the issue with stories from their front-line successful defense of heat illness cases.  They will then provide practical advice on how employers can tune up their programs, respond to employee incidents, and properly manage OSHA heat illness inspections.
