EDWARDSVILLE - A Randolph County man is suing Waterloo woman for colliding into his motorcycle with her vehicle, allegedly causing him to suffer serious injuries.

Eric Goins filed a lawsuit on March 23 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Melissa Jensen, citing negligence and carelessness.

According to the lawsuit, Goins was driving his Harley Davidson motorcycle on Warren Drive on June 3, 2020. Jensen was operating a 2006 Honda Odyssey when she allegedly turned towards the plaintiff and collided with him. The lawsuit states that Goin was knocked from his motorcycle and continues to suffer "serious" injuries.

Goins claims he has incurred medical bills for injuries to his face, mouth, arms, legs, neck, and back. According to Goins, the injuries are "serious, painful, and disabling" and has affected his ability to "enjoy the ordinary pursuits of life."

Goins is seeking damages in excess of $50,000 and any other relief the court deems proper. He is represented in this case by attorney Andrew G. Toennies of Kirkendall Dwyer LLP in St. Louis.
