EDWARDSVILLE - A motorist is suing another driver for allegedly running a stop sign in Olive Township and causing a collision.

Jeffery J. Linenfelser filed a lawsuit on Jan. 5 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Tames Anderson.

According to the lawsuit, Linenfelser was operating a vehicle on Alhambra Road near the intersection of Silver Creek Road in Olive Downship on Jan. 6, 2020. Linenfelser claims Anderson collided into his vehicle after failing to yield at a stop sign.

Linenfelser claims Anderson negligently failed to keep a proper lookout for traffic, operated a vehicle with careless disregard, failed to decrease speed, failed to yield to stop sign and failed to exercise due care in operating a vehicle.

Linenfelser claims he was caused to suffer personal injuries.

Linenfelser seeks an amount in excess of $50,000, plus cost of suit. He is represented by Michael J. Hertz of Lucco Brown Dawson & Hertz LLP in Edwardsville.
