EDWARDSVILLE – One of late lawyer Randy Gori’s real estate entities sold property at 120 North Main Street for $875,000 on Sept. 20.

Matthew Pfund and Kristen Pfund, of Pfund Construction on Blackburn Road, bought it from JG Management.

JG Management bought it in 2014, for $780,000.

As of Oct. 4, a sign over the door read Gori Julian.

Gori’s firm carried that brand before partner Barry Julian took a job as a Madison County associate judge. Julian retired in December, nearly a year after Gori was murdered in his Edwardsville home.

As trial began Tuesday in Madison County Circuit Court, the attorney for defendant Timothy Banowetz said her client would plead guilty to first degree murder and two counts of armed robbery.

Inside 120 North Main, a sign on the wall read Pohlman USA, a firm that provides court reporting and other litigation support.

Illinois corporation records don’t show JG Management, but its address on Madison County records place it in the Gori firm at 156 North Main Street.

Other Gori entities have sold nine properties for $1,273,500 this year.

Egg Development, currently managed by Gori’s estate, sold 340 Benton Street to Tyler and Diana McElligott on Jan. 4.

Gori’s widow Beth Gori administers the estate.

Egg Development bought the property for $91,893 in 2016.

On Feb. 17, Gori Properties sold 104 3rd Avenue to Drew Bradley for $145,000.

Gori Properties bought it for $113,500 in 2017.

On March 17, Gori Properties sold 207 4th Avenue to Steve Schwegel for $132,000.

Gori Properties bought it for $121,000 in 2017.

On April 5, an entity by the name of 2D1C at 156 North Main Street sold 146 Springer Avenue to H Marie Properties for $120,000.

Christopher Layloff of the Gori firm and Kristina Howard, a manager of some Gori entities, manage 2D1C.

Bryan Wegman and Jessica Wegman manage H Marie Properties.

Gori entity Key Keeper then carried out a series of sales.

Corporation records show Beth Gori and Kristina Howard as Key Keeper managers.

They litigated control of Randy Gori’s entities after he died, but no court action resulted and nothing has happened in the proceedings for 18 months.

On April 8, Key Keeper sold 508 Randle Street to Wendy Weber for $145,000.

Key Keeper bought it for $120,000 in 2017.

On June 2, Key Keeper sold 911 Highland Street to Adriana Ochoa for $125,000.

On June 10, Key Keeper sold 48 Halleck Avenue to Robert and Kimberly Brinkman for $160,000.

Key Keeper bought it for $118,000 in 2017.

Also on June 10, Key Keeper sold 1030 Florida Street to Florida Street Limited Liability Company for $165,000.

Katherine Opel of Glen Carbon manages the company that bought the property.

She organized the company that bought the property where Gori died, on Mooney Creek Lane, for $3 million last year.
