EDWARDSVILLE — Nationwide Insurance and Amco Insurance are accused of breaching a contract after allegedly denying an Edwardsville company's roof damage claim.

Kog Properties LLC filed a complaint Feb. 26 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Nationwide Insurance Company and Amco Insurance Company, alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, Kog Properties held an insurance policy for their property located on Center Grove Road in Edwardsville through Amco and Nationwide. The policy included coverage for roof and structure damage, the suit alleges. Kog Properties claims its building suffered roof damage on March 27, 2020, and that it filed a claim with Nationwide and Amco to cover the $124,741.19 cost of roof repairs.
