EDWARDSVILLE - A former employee of Thomas Industrial Coatings claims she endured sexual harassment from her supervisor both at work and at her private residence.
Leslie Raymond filed a complaint July 16 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Thomas Industrial Coatings.
According to the complaint, Raymond alleges that while working as an employee for the defendant, her supervisor, Ronnie Bloodworth, subjected her to "verbal assaults and text messages of a sexual nature" from May 27, 2017 through August 22, 2018. Raymond claims that among Bloodworth's actions were stalking and harassment "with physical conduct," including masturbating and other sexual acts on or around her. The incidents allegedly occurred at work and at her private residence, the suit states.
Raymond claims she has suffered permanent "disabling mental and physical injuries" as well as loss of employment and economic damages as a result of the alleged harassment. She claims she has incurred the expenditure of large sums for her treatment due to the alleged harassment.
Raymond seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000 and other appropriate relief. She is represented by Charles Baricevic of Chatham and Baricevic in Belleville.
