Customer alleges she suffered multiple injuries after falling in Casino Queen food court

BELLEVILLE -- A Macoupin County woman is suing a casino, alleging negligence caused to her fall and sustain injuries on the defendant's property.

Sarah Broyles filed suit Aug. 29 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Casino Queen Inc., Casino Queen and Casino Queen Holdings LLC, alleging negligence. According to the complaint, on Sept. 10, 2017, Broyles was visiting Casino Queen in East St. Louis. While she was in the food court, the suit alleges, Broyles slipped on an unknown substance on the floor and fell. 

As a result, Broyles says, she suffered injuries to her left knee, shoulder and other bruising, resulting in medical treatment and medical expenses. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to maintain the property, leading to her injuries. 

Broyles seeks damages in excess of $50,000 and costs of suit. She is represented by attorneys at Williams, Caponi & Associates PC in Belleville.
