Illinois Supreme Court issued the following announcement on Aug. 12.
Marcia M. Meis, Director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, announced that the Second Judicial Circuit judges voted to select Evan L. Owens as an associate judge of the Second Judicial Circuit.
Mr. Owens received his undergraduate degree in 1990 from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois, and his Juris Doctor in 1993 from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Mr. Owens is currently affiliated with the Franklin County State's Attorney's Office in Benton, Illinois.
