BELLEVILLE — A customer is suing McDonald's, alleging she was injured when she fell at the defendant's restaurant in Freeburg.

Diane Lange filed a complaint June 5 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against CIJC Inc., doing business as McDonald's, alleging negligence.

The suit states Lange was a guest Dec. 7, 2018, at the McDonald's in Freeburg. Lange alleges she was walking to the counter when she slipped and fell due to a slippery condition. The plaintiff claims she sustained serious and disabling injuries to her right arm and right hand as well as to her body as a whole, leading to disfigurement, pain, mental anguish and medical expenses.

Lange seeks relief in excess of $50,000, interest and all other just relief. She is represented by attorney Gregory L. Shevlin of Cook, Bartholomew, Shevlin, Cook & Jones LLP in Belleville.
