BELLEVILLE —A patient claims she suffered an infection likely caused by a non-sterile injection.

Christina Davidson-Kirby filed a complaint on May 21 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Associated Physicians Group Ltd., also known as APG Pain Management, also known as APG of O'Fallon, and William Thom M.D., alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, Davidson-Kirby was diagnosed with an infection at Barnes Jewish Hospital on May 23, 2017. Davidson-Kirby alleges she has reason to believe she may have contracted the infection from a non-sterile injection she received on March 8, 2016 while under the care of the defendants.

Davidson-Kirby is seeking relief in excess of $50,000, plus costs of the suit. She is represented by Bruce N. Cook of Cook, Bartholomew, Shevlin, Cook & Jones LLP in Belleville.
