BELLEVILLE — A Belleville law firm is suing a group of clients alleging it was not paid more than $500,000 for legal services.
Clayborne, Sabo and Wagner LLP filed a complaint April 11 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against A.R. Thane Ritchie, Ritchie Capital Management Sezc Ltd., Ritchie Capital Management LLC, Ritchie Partners LLC, Ritchie Multi-Strategy Global LLC, Ritchie Multi-Strategy Global Ltd., Ritchie Multi-Strategy Global Trading Ltd., Ritchie Multi-Strategy Trading Ltd., Ritchie Energy Ltd., Ritchie Multi-Strategy (Cayman) Ltd., Ritchie Risk-Linked Strategies Trading Ltd, Ritchie Multi-Strategy Fund LLC, Ritchie Multi-Strategy Trading Sezc Ltd., Ritchie CT Opps LLC, Ritchie Energy LLC, Ritchie Risk-Linked Opportunities LLC, Swansea Beneficiary Trust LLC, Alpha Carta Ltd. and Millenium Technology Value Partners (RCM) Ltd, alleging failure to pay and unjust enrichment.
The suit states the Ritchie clients and Clayborne Sabo entered into an agreement in which the defendants agreed to pay the plaintiff for legal services. The plaintiffs allege the defendants have failed to pay the law firm and is indebted for the balance of $506,537.62, plus interest.
Clayborne, Sabo and Wagner seeks the $506,537.2, plus interest at 5 percent per centum per annum and all other just and proper relief. It is represented by attorney Michael L. Wagner.
