EDWARDSVILLE — An ironworker is suing a construction company, alleging unsafe conditions caused the plaintiff to suffer injuries.

Audrey Osborn filed a complaint April 22 in Madison County Circuit Court against Plocher Construction Company Inc., alleging construction negligence and liability.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 27, 2018, Osborn was employed by the defendant as an ironworker at a construction site located at 2222 Lincoln Trail in Taylorville. The suit states Osborn was working to pre-tie a rebar cage for a caisson when it fell from its stanchion and struck her leg, resulting in serious injuries and medical expenditures.

The plaintiff alleges Plocher failed to properly manage, oversee, supervise and control the construction site.

Osborn seeks judgment in excess of $50,000 and court costs. She is represented by attorney Michael A. Knobloch of Chute O’Malley Knobloch & Turcy LLC in Chicago.
