EDWARDSVILLE — A horse owner is suing the state racing board, alleging her license was unfairly revoked.

Dixie J. Harr filed a complaint April 17 in Madison County Circuit Court against the Illinois Racing Board, alleging unfair suspension of a license and violation of the Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975.

The suit states Harr was accused of violating certain provisions of the racing board's regarding treatment of horses. however, she claims the accusations were not accurate. The plaintiff alleges she was informed that her license would be revoked, which would mean she could no longer race horses.

Harr seeks a temporary restraining order and all equitable relief. She is represented by attorney Leslie A Wood of Wood Law Office in Glen Carbon.
