BELLEVILLE — A St. Clair County man is suing a hair product company, alleging the use of Just for Men resulted in a severe allergic reaction for the plaintiff.
Tellly Jones filed a complaint March 4 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Combe Inc., Combe Products Inc., Combe Laboratories Inc. and Combe International LLC, formerly known as Combe International Ltd. alleging strict products liability, design defect, inadequate warning, non-conformance with representations, negligence, breach of express warranty, breach of implied warranty, negligent representations and fraud, violation of the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practice Act and Uniform Deceptive Trade Practices Act.
The suit states Jones began to use the defendants' hair product, Just for Men, in November 2018. The plaintiff claims he applied the product as directed and suffered a severe reaction, including redness, swelling, rash, stinging, irritation, oozing and weeping sores, itching, burning and infection.

Jones seeks trial by jury, actual and punitive damages, court costs, attorney fees and court costs, other all other just relief. He is represented by attorney Lloyd M. Cueto of the Law Office of Lloyd M. Cueto PC in Belleville.
