BELLEVILLE — An O'Fallon woman is suing Wal-Mart, alleging she slipped and fell on a liquid at the defendant's store.

Crystal Clement filed a complaint Feb. 27 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores Inc., alleging negligence.

The suit states Clement was shopping at the O'Fallon Wal-Mart on Aug. 1, 2017 when she allegedly slipped and fell on a liquid that had been left to accumulate on the floor. She claims no warning signs were provided and no attention was given to cleaning up the spill.

The plaintiff claims she suffered injuries to her neck, left knee and lower back as well as her nerves and muscles.

Clement seeks compensation in excess of $50,000, plus costs of suit. She is represented by attorney Kirk A. Caponi.
