EDWARDSVILLE — A customer is suing a McDonald's management company, alleging she was injured in a fall at the defendant's Pontoon Beach restaurant.

Lola VIcki Kephart filed a complaint March 14 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Estel Foods Inc., alleging negligence.

The suit states on Dec. 22, 2017, Kephart was a guest at the McDonald's in Pontoon Beach, which is operated by the defendant. Kephart claims she slipped and fell on a slick or wet surface when the defendant's employees failed to clean up the mess or warn of the dangerous situation.

The plaintiff alleges she suffered injuries to her left knee, in addition to physical disability and mental anguish.

Kephart seeks compensation in excess of $50,000, interest and costs expended and all other proper relief. She is represented by attorney James Ryan of Gori, Julian & Associates PC in Alton.
