Customer sues Wal-Mart over slip, fall

BELLEVILLE — A customer claims he was injured when he slipped and fell at the Salem Wal-Mart. 

Joseph Weisel filed a complaint Feb. 19 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Wal-Mart Stores Inc., alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, Weisel was at the Wal-Mart on W. Main St. in Salem when he slipped and fall on a liquid that was allowed to sit on the ground near the deli. 

Weisel claims he injured his wrist and other parts of his body.  

Weisel seeks damages between $50,000 and $75,000, plus costs of the case. He is represented by attorneys Michael P. Glisson and Taylor N. Fehrenz of Williamson, Webster, Falb & Glisson in Alton.
