EDWARDSVILLE — A Madison County woman claims she was injured as a passenger in a vehicle when another passenger tried grabbing something from her hand.
is suing a vehicle passenger, alleging she was caused injuries to her fingers and hand.
Linda Davis filed a complaint Feb. 13 in Madison County Circuit Court against Karen Catt, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on July 28, 2018, Catt endangered the plaintiff by trying to grab an item from Davis' hand when the two were passengers in a car in Alabama.
The plaintiff claims she sustained injuries and pain to her fingers and hand that required surgery.
Davis seeks damages of more than $50,000, attorney fees and court costs. She is represented by attorney Lanny Darr of Darr Law Offices LTD in Alton.
