Bank alleges borrowers owe $2.75 million

EDWARDSVILLE — A bank alleges funding companies owe $2.75 million on a loan.

Midland States Bank filed a complaint Feb. 13 in Madison County Circuit Court against E-Merchant Cash Advance, Empire Funding, Last Chance Funding Inc and Keep You Funded Capital LLC

According to the complaint, the defendants did not make payments as previously agreed upon and is indebted for $2.75 million in sums due.

The defendant is accused of unjust enrichment and conversion.

Midland States Bank seeks $2.75 million, attorney fees and court costs. It is represented by attorneys Bruce D. LeMoine, Christopher LaRose and John R. Moore  of Armstrong Teasdale LLP in St. Louis.
