EDWARDSVILLE —A resident is suing a Glen Carbon retirement home after he allegedly slipped and fell in his bathroom.
Robert Oberto filed a complaint Feb. 14 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Eden Retirement Center Inc., doing business as Eden Village, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 11, 2018, Oberto was a resident at the retirement center when he allegedly slipped and fall on water that had been left on the floor his bathroom. As a result, Oberto claims he fractured his femur.
Oberto seeks more than $50,000 in damages, plus attorney fees and court costs. He is represented by attorney Christopher M. Donohoo of The Donohoo Law Firm in East Alton.
