Car accident 08

BELLEVILLE — Three vehicle occupants are suing a motorist for allegedly causing a collision on Route 158.

Lisa Kruse and Rodney Kruse, individually and as next friend of Lily Kruse, a minor, filed a complaint Feb. 7 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Kristi Rennison, alleging the defendant negligently operated her vehicle.

According to the complaint, on Feb. 26, 2017, the plaintiffs were in a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling southbound and were stopped on state Route 158 at its intersection with state Route 161 in St. Clair County. They claim their vehicle was rear-ended by a 2015 Dodge Caravan driven by Rennison.

The plaintiffs claim they sustained severe and permanent injuries, both internally and externally, to numerous parts of their bodies and nervous systems.

They allege Rennison failed to keep her Dodge Caravan under proper control and drove at a speed greater than reasonable.

The plaintiffs seek trial by jury, damages in excess of $50,000 for each of them, plus costs of court. They are represented by attorney Steven Giacoletto of Giacoletto Law Firm in Collinsville.
