BELLEVILLE — A motorist is suing another for allegedly causing a rear end collision.

Torri Chapman filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Alexis Farmer, alleging she failed to avoid striking plaintiff's motor vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 23, 2017, she was operating a vehicle traveling southbound on Timber Creek at or near its intersection with Dartmouth Drive when Farmer struck the rear of her vehicle.

Chapman claims she sustained multiple injuries that resulted in great pan, mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages.

The plaintiff alleges Farmer failed to maintain a careful lookout, failed to yield the right of way and failed to give audible warnings.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of not less than $50,000, plus costs of this action. She is represented by Todd M. Reardon of Todd M. Reardon, Attorney at Law in Charleston.
