BELLEVILLE — A motorist is suing a Shiloh driver for allegedly causing a Fairview Heights collision.
Adam Meyer filed a complaint Jan. 11 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Andrew Zecchino, alleging failure to exercise reasonable care in operating his vehicle.
According to the complaint, on Jan. 29, 2018, Meyer was driving a vehicle east on Frank Scott Parkway at its intersection with Blumberg Lane in Fairview Heights. Meyer alleges Zecchino's vehicle struck a third party vehicle, causing a chain reaction collision that ended up striking Meyer's car.
Meyer claims he suffered injuries resulting in pain, loss of a normal life and medical bills.
The plaintiff alleges Zecchino failed to keep proper lookout, failed to yield and failed to use evasive maneuvers at the first appearance of danger.
Meyer seeks trial by jury, judgment in excess of $50,000, plus court costs. He is represented by Jon E. Rosenstengel of Law Offices of Bonifield & Rosenstengel PC in Belleville.
