BELLEVILLE — A Missouri passenger is suing an Illinois driver for allegedly causing a St. Clair County crash.
Andrea Sachs filed a complaint Feb. 4 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Stanley D. Sugg, alleging the Illinois driver failed to operate his vehicle in a careful and prudent manner.
According to the complaint, on Feb. 7, 2017, Sachs was a passenger in a vehicle traveling west on North Belt West approaching its intersection with North Illinois Street in St. Clair County when Sugg's vehicle entered the intersection and collided with the vehicle in which the plaintiff was a passenger.
As a result, Sachs claims her body was jerked and thrown, causing her to suffer injuries to her chest, ribs, back, neck, spine and right shoulder.
The plaintiff alleges Sugg failed to be attentive while driving, negligently disobeyed a traffic signal and carelessly attempted to make an improper turn.
Sachs seeks trial by jury, judgment exceeding $50,000, plus court costs. She is represented by attorney Michael Graff of Kodner Watkins LC in St. Louis.
