EDWARDSVILLE — A building owner is suing Pekin Insurance Co. citing alleged breach of insurance policy.
Petroff Trucking Co. filed a complaint on Jan. 23 in the Madison County Circuit Court alleging the insurer failed to fully pay the company's losses.
According to the complaint, Petroff Trucking Co. alleges that in 2017, the plaintiff's Building #1 and Building #2 suffered losses caused by a hailstorm in the amount of approximately $183,200 and $156,375, respectively. After receiving payment of $57,175 for Building #1, the unpaid roofing claim of $282,400 remains due, the suit says.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $350,000, plus costs and all other relief allowed by law. It is represented by Thomas G. Maag of Maag Law Firm LLC in Wood River.
