BELLEVILLE — A motorist claims a tired tractor-trailer driver caused a collision at West Hanover and 11 One Stop Drive.

Krissy Gibson filed a complaint on Jan. 3 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against SD Logistics, Inc. alleging the defendant negligently entrusted its tractor-trailer to an inexperienced driver.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 30, she was driving a vehicle at the intersection of West Hanover and 11 One Stop Drive when SD Logistics employee, Gilberto Perez, allegedly caused a collision while operating a tractor-trailer.

Gibson claims she suffered severe injuries to her neck, back and knees and has been forced to incur various surgical and medical care and treatment expenses.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant negligently operated the tractor-trailer at an excessive speed, operated the vehicle while tired and/or fatigued and failed to operate the tractor-trailer on the correct side of the road.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount in excess of $50,000, plus costs and all other just and proper relief. She is represented by Michael P. Corrigan and Nicole Burlison Knepper of Padberg, Corrigan & Appelbaum in St. Louis.
