BELLEVILLE — A St. Clair County man is suing a motorist for allegedly causing a collision while attempting to make a U-turn.
Ricky Greer Jr. filed a complaint on Dec. 20 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Brian Ackridge, alleging the driver failed to keep proper control of his vehicle.
According to the complaint, Greer alleges he was driving his 2003 Dodge Ram on South Belt West on Dec. 27, 2016 when the defendant allegedly caused a crash while attempting to make a U-turn.
Greer claims he suffered injuries resulting in medical expenses, loss of earnings and pain and suffering.
The plaintiff holds Ackridge responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to keep proper lookout, failed to yield and negligently made a U-turn directly into the path of plaintiff's vehicle.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for a fair and just award greater than $50,000, plus costs. He is represented by Reed C. Nelson of Nelson & Nelson Attorneys at Law PC in Belleville.
