BELLEVILLE — A motorist is suing a pickup truck driver for allegedly causing a Fairview Heights crash.

Rebecca Cissell filed a complaint Dec. 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Matthew McDonough. alleging he negligently drove his vehicle at a speed greater than was reasonable.

According to the complaint, Cissell was driving a Honda on Interstate Highway 64 in Fairview Heights on Jan. 17, 2017. The plaintiff alleges McDonough was driving his Ford pickup truck when he allegedly caused a collision.

Cissell claims she sustained injuries, which resulted in pain and suffering, loss of earnings and medical expenses.

The plaintiff alleges McDonough failed to keep proper lookout, followed Cissell's Honda too closely and failed to reduce speed or stop to avoid colliding with the plaintiff's vehicle.
