EDWARDSVILLE — A customer is suing an Alton casino operator, alleging negligence led to injuries for the plaintiff.

Henry Graham filed a complaint Dec. 5 in Madison County Circuit Court against Alton Casino LLC, doing business as Argosy Casino Alton, alleging the gaming company failed to keep the balcony and the doorway reasonably safe for its guests.

According to the complaint, on Aug. 18, 2017, Graham was an invitee at Argosy Casino in Alton when he tripped and fell in a poorly lit balcony with an impediment in the doorway. The suit states that Graham sustained injuries to his knee, and back.

The plaintiff alleges Argosy Casino failed to provide adequate lighting in the balcony and failed to warn its guests of the doorway's dangerous condition.

Graham seeks trial by jury, judgment greater than $50,000, plus court costs, interest, attorney fees and all other proper and just relief. He is represented by attorneys Allison F. Stenger and Courtney C. Stirrat of Klar, Izsak, Stenger LLC in St. Louis.
