Car accident 09

BELLEVILLE — A woman is suing two motorists for allegedly causing a mutli-vehicle collision.

Hwaja Hays filed a complaint on Nov. 27 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Erika J. Galloway and Willa M. Gillette, alleging they failed to maintain their vehicles under proper control.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 9, she was traveling on North Green Mount Road near Cascade Lake Drive when the defendants caused a multi-vehicle collision.

Hays claims she sustained injuries resulting in pain and suffering, disfigurement, disability, medical bills and other damages.

The plaintiff holds Galloway and Gillette responsible because the defendants allegedly drove their vehicles in a reckless and careless manner, failed to maintain a careful lookout and failed to reduce speed or stop to avoid the crash.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $50,000, plus costs of this action. She is represented by Brian M. Wendler, Angie M. Zinzilieta and Paul E.H. Rademacher of Wendler Law PC in Edwardsville.
