EDWARDSVILLE — An inventory manager is suing his former employer for allegedly terminating his employment without adequately investigating sexual harassment claims.
Jeremy Hultz filed a complaint on Nov. 30 in the Madison County Circuit Court against International Mulch Co., alleging the former employer violated its own sexual harassment policy.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges two female employees made sexual harassment claims against him. He was then terminated from his employment on Aug. 16. Hultz claims the defendant failed to conduct a meaningful investigation to determine the truthfulness of the claims. He also alleges he was terminated for reporting sexual harassment.
Hultz claims he has suffered loss wages and fringe benefits, emotional distress, humiliation and loss of ability to support his young family.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages in an amount greater than $50,000, plus attorney's fees and costs. He is represented by John H. Leskera of Leskera Law Firm in Collinsville.
