Former employee accuses East End Express Lube of wrongful termination

BELLEVILLE—A former manager of East End Express Lube claims his employers terminated him for reporting discrimination. 

Dewayne M. Wren filed a complaint on Nov. 6 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging unlawful employment practices.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 28, he was wrongfully discharged from his employment. The claims his employers discriminated against him on the basis of his race and/or ethnicity. Wren alleges the defendants retaliated against him after reporting the alleged discrimination. 

Wren claims he has suffered lost wages and employment benefits, humiliation and damage to his professional reputation. 

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants in an amount greater than $50,000 and all other relief that is necessary and proper.
