Motorist alleges injuries from I-55/70 crash

EDWARDSVILLE — A man claims a motorist crossed into oncoming traffic and caused a collision on Interstate 55/70. 

Tommy Cheung filed a complaint on Nov. 14 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Lynette Stanley and MaClair Asphalt Co. Inc., alleging Stanley carelessly operated her vehicle while distracted.

The plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 17, 2016, he was involved in a vehicle collision on Interstate 55/70 near the Sand Parire Lane overpass due to the negligence of defendants. He claims suffered injuries resulting in disability, loss of normal life and other damages estimated at more than $50,000. 

The plaintiff alleges Stanley negligently left the center of the roadway and crossed into an oncoming lane, striking the plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in his favor in an amount exceeding $50,000, plus costs and all other relief that is proper and just. He is represented by Alan G. Pirtle of Brown & Crouppen PC in St. Louis.
