Car accident 01

BELLEVILLE — A woman is suing motorist Kathy H. Runk, alleging negligence in a car accident.

Iesha Fordson filed a complaint on Nov. 2, in the St. Clair County Circuit Court, against Kathy H. Runk, alleging the defendant was speeding in her vehicle and caused an accident.

The plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 12, she was involved in a car accident when the defendant struck the rear of her vehicle on Frank Scott Parkway, at Illinois Route 161.

She allegedly suffered injuries to her neck, back and head, and incurred medical expenses of more than $17,400.

The plaintiff holds Kathy H. Runk responsible, because the defendant allegedly failed to keep proper lookout and failed to slow down, swerve or stop to avoid the accident.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount greater than $50,000, plus costs.

She is represented by Andrew G. Toennies of Lashly & Baer PC in St. Louis.
