EDWARDSVILLE — Sandra Griffin filed a complaint on Nov. 8 in Madison County Circuit Court against motorist Alice Ketchun after the defendant allegedly struck Griffin with her vehicle.

The plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 12, 2016, she was in the crosswalk in front of Walmart Supercenter in Granite City, when she was struck by the defendant's vehicle.

She allegedly injured her neck, back, knee and left arm as well as suffered nerve damage.

The plaintiff holds Alice Ketchun responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to yield to pedestrians, sound her horn or warn of her approach.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of $50,000 or more, as well as costs, attorney's fees, punitive damages and all further relief the court may deem proper and just.

She is represented by Randall C. Cahill and Pearson Bush of The Cahill Partnership LLC in St. Louis.
