EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist claims a man driving a tractor trailer for Domino's Pizza caused a collision.

Alvin D. Harvey filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Timothy A. Beiermann, Domino's Pizza LLC and Ryder Truck Rental, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 2, 2016, he was operating a vehicle on West Main Street at its intersection with St. Louis Avenue when Beiermann collided with his vehicle. Harvey claims Beiermann was operating a tractor trailer leased to Domino's and owned by Ryder.

Harvey claims he sustained serious and permanent injuries that required extensive medical treatment.

The plaintiff alleges Beiermann failed to maintain careful lookout, failed to keep his vehicle under proper control and failed to take evasive actions to avoid a collision.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of not less than $50,000, plus interest, costs and any further relief as the court may deem fair and just. He is represented by Edward W. Unsell, Fred Patrick Schuman and Joshua R. Evans of The Unsell Law Firm PC in East Alton.
