BELLEVILLE — Demolition service providers are suing property owners after they were allegedly shocked while working.

Terry A. Lewis, Rodney J. Siemens and Hayden Wrecking Company filed a complaint on Oct. 5 in the St. Clair County Circuit Court against Ambrosia Land Investments LLC, doing business as Wilke Window & Door Company Inc., and Steven R. Wilke, alleging they failed to ensure the safety of their invitees.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Oct. 7, 2016, Lewis and Siemers were doing demolition work at Ambrosia's property when they suffered severe electrical shock. The plaintiffs claim the defendants misrepresented that there was no live electricity in the area where they were working.

As a result, the plaintiffs claim they sustained severe injuries resulting in pain, medical bills, disfigurement and loss of enjoyment of life.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages of more than $50,000, and all further relief as the court deems just and proper. They are represented by Gary K. Burger of Burger Law LLC in St. Louis and Tarun B. Rana of Law Offices of Tarun B. Rana in St. Louis.
