EDWARDSVILLE — A Madison County resident accuses a Nebraska man of fraud.
Kurt E. Johnson filed a complaint on Oct. 17 in Madison County Circuit Court against Mark Lakers and Premium Standard Protein LLC, alleging they made false statements to induce the plaintiff to invest in a business.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff gave the defendants $150,000 for an investment. However, Johnson alleges the defendants did nothing to build the business, causing the plaintiff to lose his investment.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks rescission of the contract. He is represented by Giles B. Howard of Goldstein and Price LC in St. Louis.
