BELLEVILLE — A passenger on a private coach bus is suing the driver and bus company following a crash on Interstate 55.

Barbara Brown filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against John Ross, David Golliday, Golliday's Private Coach Service and Golliday's Bar and Grill.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was a passenger on the defendants' private coach bus traveling north on Interstate 55 in Bloomington when the bus hit another vehicle. The bus left the roadway and came to an abrupt stop in the median, the complaint states.

Brown claims she suffered internal and external injuries. The plaintiff alleges Ross was speeding and did not keep a careful lookout.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of not less than $50,000, plus attorney's fees. She is represented by Patrick Hinrichs of the Bradley Law Firm in St. Louis.
