EDWARDSVILLE — A motorist is suing another driver for allegedly causing a collision.

Glenda Degler filed a complaint on Sept. 28 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Rebecca Decker, alleging she failed to keep proper control of her vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 14, 2016, the parties were involved in a crash when their vehicles collided on State Route 159 approaching State Route 162.

The plaintiff claims she sustained serious injuries resulting in extreme pain and suffering and incurred medical care and treatment expenses.

The plaintiff holds Decker responsible because the defendant allegedly negligently drove her vehicle at an excessive speed and while distracted, failed to keep proper lookout and failed to yield right of way.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant in an amount exceeding the minimum limits of the court, plus costs and expenses and all other relief deemed fair and reasonable. She is represented by Julia Kerr of The Bradley Law Firm in St. Louis.
