BELLEVILLE — A motorist faces a lawsuit after allegedly rear-ending another vehicle.
Victoria Bundy filed a complaint on Sept. 19 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Betty Wieland, alleging the driver breached her duty to exercise reasonable care.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff was in a vehicle traveling on on North Illinois Street when the defendant's vehicle struck her. She suffered severe injuries, pain, medical bills, disability and loss of enjoyment of life, the complaint states. The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to reduce speed and keep a proper lookout.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant in an amount exceeding $50,000, plus costs and all other relief that are proper and just. She is represented by Matthew P. Young of Kuehn Beasley & Young PC in Belleville.
