BELLEVILLE — A stepmother accuses her stepchildren of cutting her out as a beneficiary of her late husband's estate.

June Frech filed a complaint on Sept. 24 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against Dennis L. Frech Sr. and Deborah Harris, alleging they wrongfully exercised control over their father's estate.

According to the complaint, the defendants coerced the plaintiff's husband to remove her as the beneficiary of many assets. The plaintiff claims the defendants have animosity toward to her and do not want to give her assets from the estate.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order declaring that the designations executed by the defendants as null and void. She is represented by P. K. Johnson V of Johnson, Johnson & Nolan in Belleville.
