EDWARDSVILLE — Two drivers are accused of causing a fatal collision in Polk Township.
Janet McDonald and Judith Paul, as special administrators of the estate of Louretta Ozee, filed a complaint on Sept. 19 in Madison County Circuit Court against Larry Ricchiardi and Kenneth Bouillon.
According to the complaint, Ozee was a passenger in a vehicle driven by McDonald traveling northbound on Shipman Road in Polk Township when the defendants caused a collision. The plaintiffs claim Ricchiardi attempted to pass Bouillion's vehicle without using a blinker. They also claim Bouillion drove his vehicle while distracted.
McDonald suffered injuries to her neck, shoulders, back and legs, the complaint states. Ozee died as a result of her injuries she sustained from the accident.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages in excess of $50,000. They are represented by Michael P. Glisson and Taylor N. Fehrenz of Williamson, Webster, Falb and Glisson in Alton.
