BELLEVILLE — An insurance broker filed a lawsuit alleging interference with a contract with St. Clair County.
Warma Witter Kreisler & Associates Inc. filed a complaint on Aug. 31 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against St. Clair County and Debra Moore.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges Moore contacted another broker to take over business for St. Clair County in violation of an exclusive agent arrangement. The plaintiff alleges Moore intentionally interfered with its relationship with Illinois Counties Risk Management Trust for its business needs.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an order compelling defendants to re-let the contract for insurance services.
